Grain Storage and Grain Marketing

With 22 silos varying in capacity from 250 tonnes to 1500 tonnes, the grain store provides a flexible system to suit a wide range of the high quality crops grown in Essex. As a part of the food chain, the grain divisions are aware of their responsibilities to the consumer and particular attention is paid to the Food Safety Act. The grain marketing division provides an essential service to its farmer shareholders. It consistently achieves significant premiums over published HGCA weighted averages. The primary aim of the grain divisions is to ensure that the services which they provide meet the necessary level of quality required by each member and customer. To this end the division are currently installing a Total Quality Management System based upon the best recognised working practices.

Services Division

A comprehensive range of farm inputs is available to members of the buying group division. There is a small acreage charge for this service and the company has no vested interest in high prices. The division is committed to its members for the lowest possible price.
